EU short positions in Nordic stocks

EU short positions in Nordic stocks

Under EU rules, funds and other holders must publish when their net short position in a listed company crosses certain thresholds. That can be useful context when you are studying a Nordic name, especially on the short side.

This page explains what those disclosures mean and may show a recent educational snapshot from Shortnordic.com, an independent aggregator for Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

What you are looking at

When Shortnordic has published a fresh country feed (updated within the last 14 days), each row is a public disclosure: who is short, which company, roughly how large the position is, and the stock price they last attached to the row.

If their feed is older than that, we do not embed the table here. Outdated rows look current and mislead readers. You will see a short message and a link to Shortnordic instead.

Important limits:

  • Checked daily. We pull from Shortnordic at least once per UTC day. Tables appear only when their own "Updated" stamp is recent enough.
  • Not NordTraders data. We do not store this in your trading account, idea engine, or morning scan.
  • Third party source. If Shortnordic is down, stale, or changes their page, you will see a clear message with direct links to their site.

How NordTraders thinks about shorts

Our engine can generate short ideas in simulation when the market regime is clearly trending down and other gates pass. We do not blend Shortnordic rows into idea scores or broker execution.

For philosophy and direction rules, see our internal reference linked from the trading dashboard Ideas tab.

No current Finland snapshot to show here

We check Shortnordic.com every day, but we only embed rows when their own feed was updated within the last 14 days. Otherwise we would show prices and positions that look current but are not.

Shortnordic last marked Finland as updated on 22 Feb 2025, 14:55 UTC. That is too old for us to mirror on this page.

When they publish a fresh feed, this page will show tables again automatically. No manual update is needed on our side.
